Globally more than one billion people are living with a disability. Between 110-190 million of these people – about 15 per cent of the global population – experience significant difficulties. Approximately 426 million people with disabilities in developing countries live below the poverty line.  Social inclusion means making sure everyone in society is included and treated equally. This means that people with disabilities have the same rights and entitlements to participate in and contribute to the social and economic development of their communities.

In this regard, Dalit Sangh with support of Sightsavers is working towards Livelihood promotion, Accessible environment and Strengthening Disable Peoples Organization to access their rights and entitlements. In this regard we have reached 5851 Persons with Disabilities in Betul and Hoshangabad districts of Madhya Pradesh. We have formed 180 Self-help groups ensuring inclusion of PwDs and promoting their individual and group enterprises to make them independent and sustain their lives with dignity.
