About Dalit Sangh

Born with the idea of socio-economic development of marginalized communities, Dalit Sangh started as a movement for Dalit and Tribal rights in 1985. Gradually transforming itself into a professional organization working towards bringing positive change among the people surviving on bare minimum at bottom of pyramid, it got registered in 1996.

Founded and established by self-motivated Dr. Gopal Narayan Authey- a prominent Hindi Writer & Doctor by profession, developed a whole team of rural youth, groomed by making them sensitive towards the problems of the society. Expanding its work into five districts of Madhya Pradesh, Dalit Sangh is eventually growing since 30 years to reach out to its beneficiaries in Hoshangabad, Harda, Betul, Raisen and Narsinghpur districts. After listening intently to communities it serves by making them equal partners in solving their problems, by not just making them realize their potential but also empowering them to access basic services in sustainable manner.

The organization works with Persons with Disabilities, Women and Children & with Pardhi, Mongia, Sapera Communities- recognized as Nomadic tribes. Its focus is towards promotion of Barrier-free environment; Equal rights and entitlements; Vocational skill development and Accessible health & education for all.

Since 1996 Dalit Sangh has expanded its foot prints specifically to five districts of Madhya Pradesh and has touched 100000 lives so far.
